What is MediaPortal?
MediaPortal is an Open Source application ideal for turning your PC / TV into a very advanced Media Center. MediaPortal allows you to listen to your favorite music & radio, watch and store your videos and DVDs, view, schedule and record live TV as a digital video recorder and much much more.
What can you do with CoolReciver?
With this plug in you will be able to:
- Control MediaPortal with all the Leadtek's TV cards that use Winfast PVR software, if I'm wrong correct me
- Use all the buttons in MediaPortal that are on the blue CoolCommand remote control, and
- Start Winfast PVR, Winfast FM or MediaPortal from comfort of your char, bed etc.
Since some users reported that plug in was not working properly with the WinfastPVR2 I updated plugin and added launcher for WinfastPVR2 to. However I don't have newer Leadtek's TV card so my testing is a bit limited.
Why not Coolcommand?
Coolcommand name was already taken so I decided to go with coolreciver.
